2023-2024 Atholton Orchestra Audition Information
Welcome to Atholton High School Orchestra! We are very excited that you are interested in joining our team for the coming year and hope to make your transition as smooth as possible. While prior experience is required for enrollment in all of our ensembles, formal auditions are only required for enrollment in our advanced String Orchestra GT class (also known as Chamber Orchestra and course code MU-820-1). Students with prior string playing experience may enroll in String Ensemble (also known as Concert Orchestra and course code MU-420-1) without a formal audition.
String Orchestra GT/Chamber Orchestra Audition Procedure
Incoming AND Current AHS Students:

Incoming AND Current AHS Students:
- Auditioning students are asked to submit a video recording of themselves performing this year’s instrument specific audition requirements.
- You will find these audition requirements listed below.
- Please submit your audition video via the following Google Form no later than Monday, February 13, 2023. You will need to log in to a Gmail account to access the form:

Begin preparing your materials early and often to help ensure you are demonstrating your best work. Listening to recordings of these excerpts is a FANTASTIC way to understand the context of each section/piece and is highly recommended.**
